Below we describe the criteria we use to assign levels and the skill and expression requirements for each stage / level.
| STAGE ORIGEN (A1) |
LEVEL ORIGEN 1-2: I can greet and say goodbye, and I can introduce myself. I can use simple words and phrases about the things around me and my daily life. I know some words, but I often need to ask what words mean.
LEVEL ORIGEN 3-4: I can ask and answer simple questions about myself and everyday life. I am able to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases. I can talk about what I like and dislike using simple words.

LEVEL DESCUBRIMIENTO 1-2: I can take part in very simple conversations on familiar topics, but I speak in short sentences and mainly in the present tense. I struggle to find the right words and need to improve my pronunciation.
LEVEL DESCUBRIMIENTO 3-4: I can take part in simple conversations on familiar topics, but I speak in short sentences and mainly in the present tense. I use a limited range of vocabulary and am able to repeat some sounds and words accurately.

LEVEL EXPLORACIÓN 1-2-3: I can engage in simple conversations on familiar and everyday topics, although I speak in short sentences and tend to repeat the same information. I can describe my past experiences in a basic way and express my future plans with difficulty, but my speech is understandable.
LEVEL EXPLORACIÓN 4-5-6: I can confidently engage in simple conversations on familiar and everyday topics. I can describe my past experiences in detail and express my future plans easily. Additionally, I try to give longer responses with few hesitations, and my speech is clear and understandable.

LEVEL AVENTURA 1-2-3-4: I can participate in extended conversations on a variety of familiar topics and express my opinions clearly. I can maintain the conversation naturally, although sometimes I need to rephrase or search for words. I use a varied vocabulary and structures, though with occasional mistakes or hesitations. I can manage everyday situations and some less familiar ones, as long as the topic is within my experience.
LEVEL AVENTURA 5-6-7-8: I can express myself clearly and in detail on a wide range of topics, including less familiar or more abstract ones. I can actively participate in discussions, defending my points of view and responding to others naturally. I use a broader range of language with greater accuracy and flexibility, though minor errors may still occur. I am able to adapt my language to different situations and handle certain subtleties in tone or meaning.

LEVEL CIMA 1-2-3-4: I can easily engage in all kinds of conversations fluently and try to use native-like language. I use a wide vocabulary, and my pronunciation is very clear, with some influence from my mother tongue.
LEVEL CIMA 5-6-7-8: I can confidently engage in all kinds of conversations fluently and use native-like language naturally. I use an extensive vocabulary, and my pronunciation is very clear, with little influence from my mother tongue.
